The first User training under the Programme of UNIDO for capacity building for Compressed Air Systems Optimization  (CASO) in the industry was held in the period of November 14 – 16, 2017 at the Hotel „Porta“, Skopje. This training is a part of the activities for market development of the industrial energy efficiency of the project “Catalyzing market transformation for industrial energy efficiency and accelerate investments in best available practices and technologies in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” GEF implemented by UNIDO and is mutually realized by the REC Country Office Macedonia, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, the Ministry of Economy, the Energy Agency and the Macedonian Bank for Development Promotion.

The project has the scope of GHG emission reductions through accelerating market transformation for industrial energy efficiency (IEE) and catalyzing: the increased demand and consumption of the best available IEE practices and technologies, the offer of relevant consulting services and investments, as well as IEE framework policy support. The training for the Compressed Air Systems Optimization  (CASO) in the industry is led by Mr. Tom Taranto, an International leading UNIDO Expert for CASO.

Training moderators are the International Compressed Air Experts, Mr. Tom Taranto and Mr. Albert Edward Williams, supported by the National Compressed Air Consultant Mr. Goran Tanchevski.

At the User Training we have present approximately 40 representatives from the industry in the Republic of Macedonia, that use compressed air in the frames of their processes and technologies.
